The past two years that I have gone to El Salvador have been pretty late notice. Because of that, I started planning my trip in January this year. Everything was going smoothly and it looked like I was going to stay at the Promise House (the half home for girls under 18 who have kids) and I would be there from June 13- July 3. My cousin Katie and I even worked it out so she could come with me.
Then about two weeks ago my coordinator (Roxy) called with some pretty bad news. Due to lack of funding, they had to shut down all of the half homes in ES (there are three, including the Promise House.) After a week or so, Roxy found us a place to stay. It's called the Ackermann Missions Home. (When Katie and I read the description we were in awe. God has really blessed us.) We're still waiting for confirmation on our transportation while we're there, which is what has taken so long to send out my support letters.
I just wanted to post this to let everyone who helps me out know what has been taking so long.
I'm more excited than I can explain.
